Hi Everyone
I had the sad news the other day that Christeen has suffered a catastrophic loss of data , all her art all her files and collections have ben lost.
I can't imagine how awful that must be, I have come close but have always found them or had most of them backed up on multiple drives, but poor Christeen has been wiped out and so I and horrified and saddened to say there will be no new art from our favorite for a while .
I am sure you will join with me in preying Christeen can find all the lost file and create again for us all very soon and if anyone as any idea of how she could search out her lost archives please let me know in email or comments here. I know she will be listening.
So in the meantime, I have search out some pieces of her art I hope she does not mind me sharing here.
None have appeared on our blog before and all are amazing and classic.
So hope to have you back soon Christeen, but I promise to keep your flag flying high here for all to follow.

Terrible news for us all, but I can'r imagine how Christeen must be? I helped a friend recover many tumblr posts some time back and would be more than happy to send any artwork I can find over to Christeen or shared via yourself Andy? If I can help in any way please email me: charlyrich@ymail.com
ReplyDeleteThat's awful. Sorry to hear. It obviously depends how the files have been lost. There are disk recovery programmes that can 'find' files that have nominally been deleted. However, if it's an external hard drive that's stopped working, I'm afraid I've never found a way of retrieving.
ReplyDeleteI know it's all probably findable elsewhere but, like Charly, I do have a large amount of Christeen history posted here and elsewhere if that would help.

Horrible news. I do hope it all works out for the best. Wish I could help, but few know less about computers than I. Thankfully, there are many who save her work, and I hope it does not affect Christeen's creativity.

ReplyDeleteHow were the files stored? If it was on an external hard drive sometimes you can just buy a new SATA bridge and that will fix it completely.
ReplyDeleteI have also saved most (but not quite all) of the images dating back to 2004 - total of 2,554 images using 1.1 GB. Any way I can help?

ReplyDeleteShocking to lose all. There are companies who specialise in recovering data from crashed drives. I know it is an unaffordable cost.
