Hi Everyone
This is one of my new favourite pieces, I wanted to come up with this style of outfit but could never get it right, nor could I figure out in what context to use it.
However I find that if I wait long enough something will eventually nudge me in the right direction.
This time that direction was back the the town of Nowheresville, where was last met Andy and Aunt Jane on the run from the sisterhood and what is the point of hiding out if you don't try to blend in.

Ok so Aunt Jane isn't doing the best when it comes to Andy blending in, but heck, he is a cutey with a British accent, so he is going to stand out whether he is dressed in Latex or not.

Young Andy has been at school all day and the boys have just noticed him?
Going by the clock, it's one fifty, or has he just arrived? But his uniform is so cute the principal won't notice that he is late.
I'm sure Andy will enjoy going back to school but I wonder if the boys will learn much.

DeleteThis looks like an interesting proposal for a remake of "Hiding Out" that could be extremely exciting and subversive. I'd certainly help fund it as, I'm sure, would many of your Patreon followers. The public should not be denied such (family?) entertainment.
ReplyDeleteFabulous outfit indeed. Andy will blend in perfectly 🤷♀️. Though there do seem a lot of boys in that corridor and just one skater girl. Andy will fit in, just fine. (And one or two boys may too, if they pass the Aunt Jane test.)
A great work and a more than worthy companion piece to Welcome to Nowheresville. As ever, you leave us wanting more, which is as it should be.

Well Mistress, it may be that Andy has just arrived and needs to check in with the Principal. Why else would he need to ask directions except if he's a newbie?
DeleteHowever, Andy already has books which would imply that he's already attended some class or classes, and it is after lunch as M.S.H. as rightly observed. So that leaves us with four possible options:
1. This is Andy's first day and he does still need to check in with the Principal so he's going to his 2pm appointment.
2. Andy has already been reported by his form teacher for wearing an outfit that is too revealing.
3. Andy has already attracted the ire of the "Heathers" in the school who resent the attractive new girl and have already reported her to the Principal for wearing no knickers. (Poor Andy though still doesn't know why he's been summoned, so let's just hope he remembered to put them on, and that Aunt Jane doesn't try to send him an alert message at an inappropriate time during the meeting.)
4. Andy has only just realised the timetable and needs to be released from the at day's games afternoon. He'll say he hasn't got his kit with him, which is true. He needs an "Off Games" note for the afternoon and just hopes that they don't have spare swimming costumes, or gymnastics leotards and leggings in the lost property area. He'll ask for Library Studies to allow him to catch-up with the curriculum. (Not that he needs catching-up much except for American history.) And so he doesn't appear too nerdy, he will ask if he can try out for a Cheerleader next week when he has the right kit. That should solve any changing room difficulties.
There may of course be a fifth reason:
5. The Teachers' Common Room is already abuzz about the new girl with the cut-glass English accent, a Liz Hurley sound-alike and a Keira Knightley look-alike. She has to see what all the fuss is about. (For it is a female Principal, after all. Why would think the Principal would be male?)
Will this do?
I suspect that Jane will have spoken to the School Secretary about her nephew, Andy, but the Principal has been receiving reports about the hot new English girl. Clarification required.
ReplyDeleteAlmost certainly but surely about her charming niece? After all, The Sisterhood will be looking for an attractive middle-aged lady and her young male 'assistant'. If they're going to lie low in Nowheresville, Andy will need to remain a girl for the duration.
DeleteHaving arrived looking like a diva supermodel, Andy needs to maintain that illusion, sorry reality: he is the new English rose in the school. Auntie will ensure he stays 'en femme'. It'll be good for him. And what name will Andy assume on the school register? he can hardly use Amanda since that would be too easy and obvious to find. He did have fleeting thoughts about Keira or Fiona. Gemma would have been nice but he settled for Emma. How soon though before the boys and girls stop using Emma and start calling him Hermione? Somehow I doubt that Andy will mind. He may well regard it as the greatest compliment.
Definitely a New Rose in town. But where does that leave poor Brad? I'm sure he will feel twinges (or worse) of envy when he hears that Emma already has a boyfriend? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUxFQ5QBiYk But Will is several thousands of miles away.....)
I doubt that the Sisterhood, an organisation at the heart of the feminisation movement, would be fooled by Andy hiding out as a boy.

This is why I like to leave some ideas and detail open, so super fun people can weave their own ideas.
I do know why Andy and Jane ran for the US but I would have to check me notes.
As for why he needs to see the principal, well that is up to you all, but I figured Andy is just finding his way round and the head needs to greet the new pupil personally.
As for his pseudonym, I to think Emma would be perfect, a sweet English name.

I still think the books look too thin and are probably files, which would make Andy a TA rather than a student. If it is not the start of the semester he may have to spend a lot of time with the Prof to catch up. Though none of the boys seem to have books so maybe it is remedial school or after hours and classes have let out already.
ReplyDeleteIf a TA, Andy would surely have been interviewed and already know his a way around the school. Far more likely that Emma wants to establish her credentials as a keen student. They may well be exercise books rather than text books, as you observe, since some look rather soft and floppy rather than stiff and hard (unlike the boys).
DeleteAnd why do the boys not have books? They're already put them in their lockers and, as we may already have established, they're hanging out in the corridor waiting for the games afternoon to commence. They may also be waiting around in the hope of catching sight of the new girl from England that everyone's talking about. Being late for Games might even be worth the inevitable detention if only to get a glimpse.

ReplyDeleteAs for the current piece its beautiful and love Andrews school outfit. Though it does beg the question how a beautiful blond hair English girl in a complete latex outfit is going to blend in. One would think Jane would want him to fly more under the radar. Then again beside it being made of latex it is a very modest outfit. So a couple of possibilities for Andrews current look.
1. Jane is trying to make something good out of a bad situation and since they are stranded is trying to advertise Boy in area that is a very rural and has never seen or heard of Boy
2. The principle knows about Boy and is a huge fan and agreed to allow Andrew to attend school on the condition that he is only allowed to wear his latex outfits from Boy.
3.These are the most modest clothes Jane has for Andrew and all his other outfits are for the photo shoot.
4. Jane doesn't want to drop completely off the radar because she doesn't want the sisterhood to know she is on to them. So If she had Andrew going back to being simply another ordinary boy it would throw up to many flags...nevermind that Andrew would draw to much attention to himself. He has been walking in heels and openly showing his natural beauty for so long that it would take to much effort to try put the lid back on and make him just one of the boys.
Or it could be simply that it was the outfit that Andrew wanted to wear to his first day of school.
Either way its beautiful and I loved it. Definitely a great piece to come back to

How is beautiful blonde haired English girl in a complete latex outfit going to blend in? What a thing to ask.....no hang on, maybe you are right, perhaps Andy could develop a cute Midwest accent to help Texan maybe.
I love all your ideas and thoughts and get the feeling these are some of the more modest outfits she packed and lets not forget, it is not necessarily a school uniform, but that Gossip Girl Preppy look.
