First Day

By Skinnie Stallion

Jane stirred as the strains of Greig’s Morgenstemning penetrated the silence.  She turned, bleary eyed, and stretched out her arm.   It flopped on to the mattress. The space beside her was empty just when she could have done with a nice cuddle.  She’d had a lousy night, and it was all her own fault.   It was her who’d insisted that Andrew sleep in his own bed.  Her who’d only allowed him one intimate kiss before she sent him to his room.   How else was he going to be able to appear innocent and virginal for his first day at the Academy?   Her who’d then spent hours tossing and turning in frustration and anxiety about the day ahead.  She wondered whether Andy had been similarly sleepless.

She rolled back and rather needlessly checked the clock face on the Echo:  06:45 .   Heck!  A quarter to seven on a Saturday!  She must be crazy.   “Alexa, off,” she commanded.   What was she doing getting up at this time on a Saturday morning?  It had been bad enough when he used to go to football practice.  Even worse when he had an away game.  At least he wouldn’t come home all muddy from a morning at The Academy.   Or shouldn’t.   She had no idea what kind of lessons and games they might play.  For all she knew there might be some messy, sploshy play.

With such an early start she thought she must be crazy sending him to the Academy when he’d already had a full week at College.  However, The Sisterhood had recommended it.  When she thought about all the training that a young maiko went through to become a geisha, sending Andrew to the Academy for a few hours once a week was really just a minor imposition.  Some time at ‘finishing school’ would be good for him especially after his difficult experience at Knightley Manor over the summer.    And she had to accept that it was necessary.    The Sisterhood’s inspector had been right to criticise his deportment and manners during her last visit: he’d become far too casual and offhand in his behaviour.  He needed bringing back into line.

At least she wouldn’t need to drive this morning.   The Academy was local. Andrew could walk.  There would be the added bonus that there’d be none of those nasty stains on her car mats and seats.  Given its proximity, Jane was rather surprised that she hadn't heard about The Academy before but it was hardly likely to advertise in The Argus.   Although it was meant to be small and select, Jane could hardly believe that there were enough sissies in town to sustain a dedicated Academy?  ‘Very exclusive’, the Inspector had said.  ‘Very expensive’, Jane felt like adding when she saw the fees.

She and Andrew normally spent Friday nights at Fullerton Hall so she wasn't in town on Saturday mornings to see what went on.  Would people notice a boy in a dress walking through the outskirts of town, or just think he was a pretty girl getting home late after a Friday night on the town?  Home from a girl’s night out or a naughty shag with her boyfriend or a  stranger.  Did anyone really know what went on in secluded leafy cul-de-sacs?

“It is a nice dress, Auntie, but not with that written on it,” he protested.   “Anyone would think I’m a sissy.”

“But you are, darling,” Jane simpered.

“I’m not, Auntie,” he continued to object.   “I’m a girl.   I want to be a girl when I’m with you.  I want to be a girl, a girl like Chantelle.”

“Really?” queried Jane.

“Well, not like Chantelle,” he reflected, “but you know what I mean.”  He resented Chantelle so much.   How could Jane like that annoying slut?   He wished she wouldn't come round.  All she did was make fun of him and mean he had less time on his own with Auntie.   He wanted to be Auntie’s only girlfriend.

“I do honey, but you are a sissy and you don't want people getting confused.   You look so pretty.”

This was exactly the kind of behaviour that The Sisterhood’s Inspector had warned her about.   Exactly the reason why he needed to go the Academy.   These behaviours needed to be nipped in the bud.  She had been too lax with him.  Allowing him to wear jeans about the house at weekends rather than his maid’s uniform had been a bad move. Fortunately the Inspector hadn’t called on one of those days.   He might still wear heels with his jeans, and the jeans might be skinny cut and tight, but standards had slipped.  Enough was enough.

“I’m afraid you must, Andrew,” declared Jane.  “I’ve already paid for this term and you are going to go,” she insisted.   “Stop behaving like a petulant little boy.  You can go home right now if that’s your attitude, and you can leave all you shoes and dresses here too. If you want to stay with me, you will abide by my rules.”

Jane could see the shocked expression on Andy’s face.  She hardly ever spoke to him like that.   The last time was more than two years ago when he’d argued with her and tried to resist her fitting him with his first Hummingbird.  That had started with tears but ended with smiles.   The fees were a secondary consideration.  She’d already committed to The Sisterhood that he would be attending and she did not want to appear weak.   He was a sissy.   Her sissy.   And if she said he was going to The Sissy Academy, he was going to The Sissy Academy.

Andy’s bottom lip started to quiver.   He could see how annoyed she was. “I’m sorry, Auntie,” he pleaded.  He was desperate not to lose her.   “I’m so sorry.”  He owed her so much: so much to thank her for.   Without her, would he ever have been able to play those first innocent games?  Without her, would he ever have felt safe to wear make-up and dress like a girl?   Without her, would he ever have learned how to properly please a woman?  Not in a silly boy’s way.   Please her like a girl.   Without her, would he ever have been to declare his love to Will?   Without her, would he ever have been able to accept that he had a boyfriend?  Without her, would he ever have learned how to properly please a man?  Or submitted to the exquisite experience of being pleasured by one?  Yes, he was a sissy.  A submissive sissy. A girl for Auntie; a girl for Will.  Her sissy and his sissy.  “Please let me go to The Academy, Auntie.    I want to go to the Academy.”

“That’s a good boy.  And what is the proper name of The Academy?”

Andy hesitated, almost baulking at answering.   “The Sissy Academy,” he mumbled.

“Sorry, darling, I didn’t quite catch that,” she taunted him.

“The Sissy Academy,” he replied grudgingly.

“Louder!”

“The Sissy Academy,” he barked.

“Do you like the uniform, honey?“

“I love the dress with its bows, and matching handbag and ankle boots.”

“And what colour is the dress, darling?”

Andy seemed bewildered by such an obvious question. “Pink,” he replied.

“What kind of pink, darling?”

Andy knew his Aunt had trapped him.  “Sissy Pink,” he accepted.

“Yes, a sweet sissy pink.  And why are you going to The Sissy Academy?”

“Because I need training.”

“Training to be a what?”

“Training to be a good sissy, Auntie.”

“And what have you been?”

“A bad sissy.   Sorry, Auntie.   I will try to be a good sissy.”

“Thank you, darling.”   Jane stopped and softened.   She hated it when he cried.  She just wanted to cuddle him but he needed to grow accustomed to his role.   And there the matter had rested, although she couldn't resist kissing him.   That quivering lip was so entrancing.

Jane put a light gown over her negligée.  She went to knock on Andy’s door but could already hear the shower already running in his en suite.  Good boy: he should  have plenty of time to do his make-up and get dressed.   She’d make the coffee, and then shower and change herself.   She wanted to give him a nice start to his first day at The Sissy Academy.

When he finally came downstairs, he looked adorable in his pink uniform but he’d left it so late that he wasn’t going to have time to have any breakfast.  He slurped a quick cup of coffee.  Given his tardiness, she expected to him ask for a lift.  She’d already steeled herself over her second espresso that that she was not going to succumb to any of his entreaties or imploring looks:  she was not going to buckle.   He was going to walk and that was that.   If he couldn’t be punctual on his first day, he was going to have to pay the consequences.

But the request never came.  Jane was baffled. He simply chatted sweetly to her about what they might do that afternoon when he got back from the Academy.   He burbled on about films and going to the cinema.  He wished that US releases like ‘Pretty Thing’ or ‘Ponyboi’ were available in the UK.  She resigned herself to watching ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ on Netflix.   Again.   At least they could curl up on the sofa together.

A person standing on a balcony

“I’m fine,” he said while lingering by the kerb outside.

Was he scared, Jane wondered, too scared to walk down the street.   She could hear voices.  Raucous voices.   Boys’ voices. Jane turned and saw three young guys in the garden of a nearby house.    Was that what was putting him off?  “Are you OK, darling?” she enquired.   “You’ll be quite safe.   I’m watching.”

“I know, Auntie.   I’m just waiting.”

“Are waiting for kerb crawlers darling,” she teased “or are you ….,” Jane stopped mid-question.  She’d already worked out her answer: the cheeky minx was waiting for a taxi.   No wonder he wasn’t flustered about being late. He’d ordered a taxi either to avoid walking or because he was late.   Possibly both.  “Have you ordered a taxi, darling?”

“Yes, Auntie.”

“Even though you were meant to be walking.”

“Yes, Auntie.   I wanted to ensure that I got there on time.”

Jane harrumphed.    Andy was watching the boys who were getting louder.  He was getting visibly more nervous.  The poor lamb.  Maybe it was too big a step for him walking to The Academy on his first day. She pulled out her phone.  “Was it Alpha Cars you called, darling?” she asked.

“Yes, Auntie.”

Jane scrolled through her Contacts and called the cab company.  She could see panic starting to fill her nephew’s face.   He’d turned away from the boys and was looking down the street even though it was in the opposite direction from where the taxi would approach.   He obviously did not want them looking at him, or seeing Sissy Academy written across his chest.   He was such a silly thing.  He didn’t mind going round the house dressed as a girl or going out shopping with her in make-up and heels.  He’d got used to that.   He didn't mind because most everyone they met were strangers and thought he was a girl.   He was happy with that.  He was even happy when Jane’s friends came round.   They were entirely comfortable with him being both her nephew and her maid, although he preferred to think of himself as her companion.   But he still hadn’t come to terms with being seen by boys of his own age or any of his friends, except Will, of course.   Will had seen him in the closest and finest detail.  He didn’t want friends from school or college knowing he spent much of his time dressed as a girl.  He didn’t want them to know his preferences.   They’d think he was a sissy.

He could be such a silly a boy at times thought Jane.   It was why he needed to go to The Sissy Academy.  He needed to learn to cherish being a sissy.  After all, this was how he was going to be living his life if she had her way.

“I’ve just spoken to the driver, Andy,” she said.   “He’s five minutes away.”

Andy despaired.   What was the point in calling a taxi more than twenty minutes ago when they were leaving him standing outside in the street like this.  The boys had stopped talking and coming out into the street.  Surely they must have noticed a girl in a pink dress standing by the kerb.   He thought he recognised one of them.   He hoped they weren’t going to be coming in his direction.   He wished there was a god of taxis that he could pray to.  ‘Please hurry.   Please, oh please, before someone sees me,’ he mouthed to himself.

Jane smiled to herself: ‘First day going on his own.  I am so very proud.’  He might have been naughty ordering a taxi but it was a big step for him going out by himself.   She’d always been there to hold his hand.

A car screeched round the corner.   The driver wound down her window: “Taxi for Andrew Watson?” she asked.  “To Privet Drive?”

“That’s me,” said Andy.

The driver showed no surprise.   She looked at his dress.   “Thought so.  Another one for The Sissy Academy.  Sorry I’m a bit late but you’re my third pick-up for there this morning.   Get I, honey.    You look lovely, by the way, the prettiest so far.”

That made him feel slightly better.   “Bye, Auntie.   See you later,” he called to her.

Jane went back into the house.   It was going to be strange having Saturday morning to herself.  She pondered whether she’d made a mistake.  Going to The Academy and being with other sissies was probably more nerve wracking than she’d imagined.   Trying to make him walk had possibly been too ambitious.   Other sissies were clearly going to The Academy by taxi.  She grudgingly accepted that The Academy uniform logo was too much of a statement when he was going out in his own for the first time.  But he did look wonderful   So wonderful.

However, he had been cheeky ordering a taxi.   He should have asked her.   She’d give him another lesson when he got home.  She’d keep him in his Sissy Academy uniform.   Yes, she’d curl up on the sofa with him for the afternoon, but she’d invite  Chantelle round for the evening,    Chantelle would enjoy seeing him in full sissy regalia and teasing him.  Jane was looking forward to a good catfight between them.    She had little doubt that Chantelle would win.
