Hi Everyone
Strange times call for strange measures, so lets go crazy and do my bit for social calming. with a double post issue of art.
Yes folks, two new pieces, on two seperate posts, on one day, to help pass those hours of isolation. So once you have digested this one scroll on down for the following post.
Both feature classic Andy and Aunt Jane stories. Here the first is entitled "One Rainy Day" and comes complete with a little story to add a little depth to the art. It's position in the Andy timeline is quite clear from the image and story, so I need go no deeper into that one.
In the second piece, on the other post, we find our Hero/Heroine in yet another oh so common embarrassing situation and once again it is down to that envious four legged Princess who goes by the name of Fifi .
It is set during Andy and Janes time in America, hence a little bit of deliberate fun with one piece of dialogue.
I say nothing more, because the image is clear, but I am sure you will have as much fun painting in the details that I do not go into.
My very best wishes

One Rainy Day
Andy sighed and put his ipad aside and uncurling himself from the cosy sofa walked over to the window. The rain had been coming down for hours and not that light spring rain, but big wind driven rain that lashed the windows and turned the sky dark. Another sigh.
Jane smiled and thoughtfully stroked the warm leather of the sofa next to her, the sofa on which she had spent the morning cuddled up with her beloved nephew. “Its no use darling”, she breathed, her eyes secretly drifting up his long legs to admire his pert little denim clad bottom, “The fates have us trapped here”
“I know Aunty and believe me there is nowhere else I would rather be trapped, but it is such a shame. We could have gone to the beach or somewhere” The slim teenaged boy turned back to his Aunt, a playfully exaggerated look of sadness on his face.
A look that swiftly changed to one of confusion. “What?”
Jane smiled and unfolding her long and glossy leather clad legs from the sofa, rose up on dagger like heels, striking a deliberate pose before him. He swallowed, she was gorgeous and she knew it. Yet there was something different in that smile.
“What is it Auntie?”
With a perfect, silent grace she moved toward him, her gentle hands, with their polished red fingertips reaching out to take his. Still unsure of what that smile meant the young man allowed himself to be turned to face the mirror on the opposite wall.
Now he understood
“That colour is a little too dark for you darling”, Jane said, her breath a perfumed breeze on his cheek. “You need something lighter to show off your eyes”
Eyes wide and brows raised in surprise, Andy gazed at his reflection, at his lips, tinted now with the deep red print of his Aunts lipgloss.
Oh it was not the fact that he bore the reminder of her kiss that surprised him, they often kissed, it was nothing unusual, they were not a sexual kiss, but a soft lingering kisses of innocent affection, secret kisses they had shared for years. However, Jane would usually have made a fuss of gently wiping any sign of gloss away, but here, alone and knowing they would not be disturbed, she had let it settle, because today was a special day. This was the day Jane had dreamt of for years
As she drew him back into her, Jane felt him willingly yield to her embrace and with gentle lips kissed him softly on the cheek. “…and I could really go to town on those eyes”
Again the young man swallowed, he could feel his heart beginning to race, his Aunts voice was soft and hypnotic, but was she really suggesting this….like a girl?… surely not.
For a long moment, he could not find the words, he would never usually deny his Aunt anything, but ..but this was…..“I…I’m a boy”, he whispered almost apologetically.
“Oh of course you are Andrew, I know that you silly sausage, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a beautiful one does it.” She turned him from the mirror and gazed down at him with those clear green eyes. ““What do you think?”.
Andy paused, his brain barely able to catch up. “But….but I’ll look silly”
“Oh darling, I promise you I would never make you look silly, you know that. It will just be a little fun on a rainy day”. The soft finger that gently caressed his glowing cheek, tingled with a reassuring touch “You do trust your Aunty don’t you?”
Still Andy’s heart and head fluttered, he knew she spoke the truth, he trusted her completely with everything, she had been and still was his closest confidant, he told her all his secrets and dreams, he adored and loved her, but….but he was still a boy. “of course I trust you but….”
Andys sentence ended with an unexpected gasp, for before he could finish expressing his further doubts Jane’s hand had enfolded his and with his heart pounding in his chest was following her through the house and up the stairs.
Because today would be the day Jane had always dreamt of.
