Emma Watson's awful Belle doll got the realistic body and beauty makeover she deserved
There's something there that wasn't there before.

ReplyDeleteI am sorry, it may be just me, but they both look creepy at closeup. Thankfully they redid it. Not being a collector it does not really impact me. A lot has to be said for the imagination. Sometimes you see what you want to see.
ReplyDeleteDisney may have been attempting to avoid any possible issues with marketing and use of Ms Watson's image in merchandising. She may have had specific clauses in her contract which dictated how her image could be used, for how long etc. Merchandising would be in the millions and Disney has successfully milked as much as they could. Not having an exact likeness of her may have been their attempt to avoid any royalty payments to her.
ReplyDeleteYou could be right RH,
DeleteIt's actually rather good as far as dolls go. She just really has a rather odd head. Probably what made dwarf-girl famous to begin with. Same with most supermodels if you give em a good look. They are strange. You don't get "huge"by looking normal.
